Newsletter 24 of 25 August 2022

Dear Parents

SUMMER UNIFORM

A reminder that our learners will change into summer uniform as from Monday,

05 September 2022. We set out the requirements for the summer uniform in our last newsletter, but if you need the information, please check in your child’s homework diary or refer to a previous newsletter.

We repeat that if there is a cold spell, winter uniform may be worn. However, learners must either be in full winter uniform or full summer uniform – no mix and match please. Please take note that dri-macs are not part of the summer uniform.

BIG WALK PRIZEGIVING

Please ensure that all Big Walk sponsorship cards and monies are handed in to the class teacher by the end of Term 3 in order for your child to qualify to win a prize. We need to finalise our invitations for the prizegiving event.

MARKING OF SCHOOL ITEMS

We appeal to parents to ensure that items of clothing belonging to learners are clearly marked with the child’s name. The reception office has received many lost items such as dri-macs, jerseys etc. all with no names on them.

Unidentified items of clothing will be placed

in the lost and found box in reception.

AFTERCARE FEES

Parents/guardians of learners who attend the Aftercare Centre should ensure that their aftercare fees have been paid by the 7th November 2022. If these fees are not settled by then, your child/children will not be able be re-enrolled for the Aftercare Centre for 2023.

PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES

An appeal to parents/guardians who make electronic payments / direct bank deposits to please use the learner’s full name and

surname as a beneficiary reference.

Please also notify the school of your payment via phone call or e-mail to ensure that the Finance Department can allocate payment accordingly.

D6 CONNECT

We firmly believe in creating a school environment that will improve the connection between us and our learners’ parents.

In order to accomplish the above, we utilize the d6 Connect application. We encourage all our parents to download, install and familiarize themselves with the app. The d6 Connect Application is free for parents to download from the Google Play Store, the App store and the Huawei App Gallery.
